"Traditionnellement le yokai DÔMO KÔMO est un fantôme à deux têtes. Deux médecins essayaient de savoir qui était le meilleur. Cette compétition mena l'un d'eux à greffer sa tête sur le corps de l'autre mais aucun des deux ne put la détacher. Ils moururent ainsi.

Voilà ce qu'est Dômo Kômo : deux amis (Nick Wheeldon et Vincent Vauchez) qui greffent leurs musiques sur un même corps. Un monstre n'appartenant ni à l'un ni l'autre et qui a pris une forme mystérieuse. Un groupe, comme un jeu, pour voir à quoi cela va ressembler. Un drap blanc avec deux trous, des fumigènes, de la paille de couleur, du coton et du sparadrap fluorescent. Un atelier de bricolage qui rejoue l'histoire pop avec un chant venu de la tombe. Un grand miroir ovale qui renvoie une image plus belle, plus difforme, plus colorée, plus monstrueuse.

Tradionally of Japenese folklore DÔMO KÔMO is a ghost with two heads. Two doctors who wanted to know who between them was the best. Their competitive nature led one of the doctors to graft his head onto the body of the other, which neither one of them would be able to detach. It would kill them both.

So that's Dômo Kômo : two friends (Vincent Vauchez & Nick Wheeldon) who graft their music to the same body. A monster born from neither and who has taken a mysterious form. A group, like a game, put together by pieces to see what it would resemble. A white sheet with two holes, plumes of
smoke, coloured straws, cotton and fluroescent tape. A DIY studio which replays the history of pop music with a voice that beckons from the grave. A grand oval mirror which reflects an image more beautiful, more deformed, more colourful, more monstruous.
