Le Pop club présente une sélection d'artistes maison et d'artistes amis. Sans forcément avoir un propos politique dans le texte, l'idée de cette compilation était de rassembler des titres à la texture puissante d'artistes underground. Pas de discours politique. Simplement un moment d’apaisement dans cette époque qui fait mal.

Le Pop Club present a selection of its own artists and friends. With no explicitly potical content the idea was to simply compile powerfuly textured tracks by underground artists. No political address here. Just a few appeasing minutes in these harmful times.

1. Cats Never Sleep - Vishnou

Culte ! Avant la machine L'Eclair, il y avait ce combo du bitume genevois The Cats Never Sleep qui sortirent en 2017 un unique album "Massage" avec Le Pop Club, avant de s'évaporer dans le cosmos.

A classic ! before the L'Eclair machine there once was a Geneva concrete combo called The Cats Never Sleep who released in 2017 a single album untitled "Massage" on Le Pop Club before evaporationg in the cosmos.

2. Thibauld Labey - CRS

Thibauld Labey nous dévoile un titre inédit entre deux albums de Trumpets of Consciousness. Une histoire bien française avec ce piano entêtant qui sent bon les pavés de 2020.

Thibauld Labey unveils an unreleased track between two Trumpets of Consciousness albums. A very "french" story with a catchy piano and a teargas smell.

3. Strange Milk - Yin-Yang

Psych Out ! Retour en fanfare sur un passage mystique du premier album de Strange Milk, avant l'arrivée d'un très attendu second opus en 2021.

4. Dopium No Podium - Mona or Lisa

Nouveau projet du généralissime Paul Winslow qui creuse le virage futuriste et rêveur qu'il avait déjà sur ses précédents disques. Le Jeff Lyne post apocalypse.

5. Tara King th. - Parallel (feat. Hera T. Davis)

Titre tout chaud du combo aux mille chansons de l'excellent label français Petrol Chips. Travail d'orfèvre, pop à la française et dentelle maison. Classe.

6. Leopardo - Fear 2

Avant l'arrivée d'un nouveau disque sur le Pop Club en 2021, on replonge dans le précédent du groupe suisse avec ce brûlot garage "Fear 2". Véritable leçon.

7. Kcidy - Plus loin

Dans son album "Kcidy a dit", Pauline Le Caignec (Satellite Jockey), nous avait concocté un récital electro pop en 18 capsules. "Plus loin" en est l'idéal belle porte d'entrée.

8. Dream Parade - The Gradient of H.

Extrait de leur première galette sortie début 2020 avec Le Pop Club. On vogue sur le Léman, tranquille, en écoutant une des "pop" les plus cools du moment.

9. Initials MB - Far Away

Pour son deuxième album le multi-instrumentiste lyonnais Initials MB se met au niveau de ses héros. Todd Rundgren ? "Far Away" est l'exquise ballade du moment.

With his second album Lyon based multi-instrumentalist Initials MB raises up to his heroes. Todd Rundgren ? "Far Away" is the ballad of the day.

10. Cosmic Fields - Renegade

On retourne dans le premier album des genevois de Cosmic Fields sorti en 2016. Plaisir et insouciance d'un premier essai aux saveurs psychédéliques ! Un des must de la scène Genevoise.

Going back to Geneva based Cosmic Field's first album released in 2016. Recklessness and pleasure of a psychedelic flavoured first shot. A Geneva scene must have.
